Senior Healthcare Transformation Consultant

The Senior Digital Transformation Consultant will work directly with senior stakeholders from clients and partners within the Healthcare industry specifically Commercial and Government Health Plans. They will facilitate action with multiple groups across finance, sales, operations, technology and data science. The senior consultant will be responsible for project management, program management and analysis of strategic and transformational initiatives with clients in the following areas: requirements gathering, technology selection, business process optimization, business case creation, solution design and implementation of digital solutions. Experience with 1-2 leading Business Process Management (BPM), Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or complex data programs is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and conduct meetings with stakeholders to gather business requirements (process deep dives, data dictionary, reporting and visualization etc.), document and understand business processes, and produce project roadmaps to deliver solutions that are aligned with the client’s strategy
• Develop deep, value-based relationships with clients, prospects and partners
• Create and maintain a pipeline of digital transformation projects in our strategic industries
• Analyze complex quantitative and qualitative data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
• Coordinate with internal resources and client teams to develop and execute project plans for multiple initiatives
• Manage and mentor junior team members and clients on best practices in business analysis and project management
• Report status on programs managed on a weekly basis to senior leadership

Requirements:

• A minimum education level of: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS), MBA preferred
• A minimum of 8-10 years related healthcare consulting work experience in program/project management, business transformation, data and technology implementation
• A minimum of 4 years leading complex technology or database implementations
• Strong analytical skills and deep understanding and experience with proven project management methodologies
• Ability to manage internal, partner and client resources
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to understand and concisely communicate complex technology and data solutions-
• Subject Matter Expertise in Health Plan or Government Program (i.e. Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare) Organizations

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer with extensive experience in Azure cloud services, data integration, and data transformation to lead the development and maintenance of our advanced data solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing Azure-based data processing, storage, and analytics solutions that meet complex business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks (ADB), and Azure Stream Analytics.
• Expertly manage data ingestion from multiple sources into Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Design, develop and maintain bilateral FHIR data feeds with Azure Data Factory
• Implement real-time data streaming solutions using Azure Event Hub and Kafka, integrated with Azure Databricks for real-time analytics.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes for data warehousing, utilizing Azure Synapse Analytics, to support OLTP, OLAP, and BI reporting needs.
• Conduct data modeling, normalization, and denormalization to design efficient data structures for Operational Data Store (ODS) and Data Warehouse solutions.
• Lead data migration projects from on-premise infrastructure to Azure Cloud Services, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
• Craft complex T-SQL scripts, including triggers, stored procedures, and functions, to support data processing and reporting requirements.
• Monitor and tune database and query performances, utilizing Azure Monitor and other tools to ensure optimal data processing speeds and system reliability.
• Collaborate closely with the DevOps team to implement CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure projects using Azure DevOps and Git.
• Produce and maintain detailed documentation for data models, ETL processes, and data pipeline architectures to ensure clarity and sustainability.

Professional Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Developer, with a strong focus on Azure Cloud Services.
• Expert knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and other Azure data services.
• Proficient in data integration, data ingestion, and real-time data processing techniques.
• Advanced skills in Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, and T-SQL scripting.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing principles.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, Azure DevOps, and Git.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Education and Certifications:

• Master’s Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field.
• Relevant Azure certifications highly preferred.
